Join us for a restorative art retreat set on a working horse farm located in Jefferson, Georgia, where creative practice, movement, nourishing food, and quiet connection come together. Spend time making, moving, and resting in a beautiful farmhouse and scenic pastures. Expect guided art sessions, a communal sound bath, mindful exercise, and the simple ritual of baking sourdough — all paced to restore focus and presence.
What to expect
Movement and breath: Morning Pound class session designed to ground the body and open creative energy. Suitable for beginners.
Art: Emotional Release Class, Plein Air Painting, Sketching, Sourdough bread painting. Activities appropriate for all levels. Materials provided; instructors offer individual feedback and gentle prompts to expand your practice.
Sourdough baking: Shared hands-on session where we'll mix, shape, and bake sourdough loaves as well as paint simple designs for a beautiful addition to our tasty treat. Learn feeding and maintenance of a starter, simple techniques for scoring and baking at home.
Sound bath: Evening group sound bath using crystal bowls to support deep relaxation and integration of the day’s creative work
Meals: Fresh, seasonally inspired lunch and dinner included. Dietary preferences accommodated with prior notice.
Setting: Quiet horse farm with pastoral views, walking paths, and safe, supervised time near the animals. Spacious farmhouse kitchen for baking and covered barn for creating. Comfortable places to rest and reflect between sessions.
Time and location: We will meet at the Heirloom Sisters studio and caravan or carpool (depending on your need) around 9am Saturday morning. Our day will begin around 10am at the farm and end just after dark. The farm is located in Jefferson, Georgia.
